The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (Cyber Security) was established in 2020 with an initial intake of 60 students, which was subsequently increased to 120 in 2025, reflecting the growing demand for skilled cybersecurity professionals. Cyber Security is a specialized discipline focused on protecting computer systems, digital devices, networks, applications, and databases from cyber threats and unauthorized access. The department emphasizes developing students' technical expertise in identifying vulnerabilities, preventing cyberattacks, detecting security breaches, and implementing effective security measures to safeguard digital assets. The department aims to equip students with a strong foundation in computer science and advanced cybersecurity technologies, including ethical hacking, network security, cryptography, digital forensics, cloud security, and cyber threat intelligence. Through practical learning, hands-on laboratory sessions, industry-oriented training, projects, and certifications, students are prepared to address emerging cybersecurity challenges.
